The analysis of new data on pi(+/-) (4)He interaction at T(pi) = 106 MeV provided information on the in-medium modifications of the Delta resonance and revealed signatures of the excitation of a nuclear collective state. Evidences for a reaction channel with thermal emission of photons are also presented.
