This paper highlights the results of a systematic review of international literature on the training of in-service teachers on the pedagogical approach of Service Learning. The analysis reveals numerous practices and experiences related to pre-service teachers training; initiatives amied at in-service training, although present, are less consolidated in systematic terms. This raises two sets of questions. Firstly it underlines the difficulty of higer education in offering menaingful training courses on the topics in question, intercepting project areas that already appear to be well established in pre-service training. These include, for example, initiatives related to physical education, digital skills and inclusion. Secondly, it is useful to question the real applicability of what is learned in initial training, also raising the issue of dissemination and documentation practices.
