In this paper we set forth the use of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) for evaluation, with particular regard to evaluating University courses. We introduce Fuzzy Sets, and we compare this approach to probability modeling. Then, we put forward spline functions to quantifying membership in IFS, and we define a specific uncertainty function. We apply these concepts and proposal to the evaluation of satisfaction in five Master courses in Northern Italy.
