The paper aims at reconstructing, in an analytical way, the argumentative path through which the Ecuadorian Constitutional Court introduced same-sex marriages in the country, despite the national Constitution provided that marriage is between a man and a woman. The elucidation and full understanding of the logical steps underlying the decision are also interesting in the light of litigation strategies which are found in other countries.

Abstract
The paper aims at reconstructing, in an analytical way, the argumentative path through which the Ecuadorian Constitutional Court introduced same-sex marriages in the country, despite the national Constitution provided that marriage is between a man and a woman. The elucidation and full understanding of the logical steps underlying the decision are also interesting in the light of litigation strategies which are found in other countries.File in questo prodotto:
