TIS ROMA 2019 The objective of the AIIT International Congress TIS Rome 2019 was to promote the knowledge of the new trends of development of mobility systems and transport infrastructures. The Congress aimed at providing a forum for discussion, interactions and exchange among researchers, scientists and engineers whose fields of interest concern transport and infrastructure engineering. The congress has been organized by AIIT. The topics of TIS 2019 are focused on transportation in the following areas: 1. Air Transport 2. Maritime Transport 3. Railway transport 4. Public Transport Systems 5. Transport Policy 6. Urban Transport Planning and Policy 7. Sustainable Mobility Planning 8. Transport Infrastructure management and Reliability 9. Traffic Management Models and Logistics 10. Automotive Innovation Impacts 11. Human Factors and Road Design 12. Intelligent Transport Systems 13. Road Safety Management 14. Vulnerable Road Users Safety 15. Road Safety Assessment and Measures 16. Road Safety and Driving Behaviour 17. Road Geometric design 18. Pavement design 19. Road Materials and Innovation 20. BIM and Infrastructure design The congress opened with a plenary session and the lecture about Digitalization and the Future of Mobility by the Keynote Speaker Christopher Zegras, Professor of Mobility and Urban Planning at MIT Boston (USA), and the Discussant Maurizio Tira, SIU President, Rector of the University of Brescia, Full Professor of Town and Regional Planning. During the two days of the congress, 135 papers were presented in 24 parallel sessions. A technical visit at ACI Vallelunga Safe Driving Centre, organized by Enrico Pagliari, took place after the congress, with exhibition of safe driving training for car, motorbiks and commercial vehicle-drivers.
