In this paper we present a smartphone app that can be used as a learning tool to understand step responses and asymptotic Bode plots of (simple) linear systems. The app allows the student to understand interactively basic concepts of dynamic systems and can be easily used during lectures to improve teaching and also elsewhere as it only requires a smartphone without the need of particular licenses. An explanation of how the app has been created is given and illustrative examples show how it can be used.

Abstract
