In this paper we consider the problem of measuring the heterogeneity of a distribution of ratings in presence of 'don't know' responses, when data are fitted by a CUB model. We show that a preliminary adjustment of the model parameters, according to a recently proposed method for the treatment of 'don't know' responses, allows to correspondingly obtain an adjusted measure of heterogeneity.

Abstract: | In this paper we consider the problem of measuring the heterogeneity of a distribution of ratings in presence of 'don't know' responses, when data are fitted by a CUB model. We show that a preliminary adjustment of the model parameters, according to a recently proposed method for the treatment of 'don't know' responses, allows to correspondingly obtain an adjusted measure of heterogeneity. |
