In this paper we present the analytical solution for an H-infinity model matching problem involving a class of fractional-order plants. An optimal interpolation theorem is obtained. From the optimal solution of the model matching problem a fractional proportional-integral-derivative controller is derived. The improved performance of this control strategy with respect to the integer one is shown by a simulation example.

Abstract
