The paper presents an experimental campaign carried out through a series of sound walks. Such measurements were performed to characterize the soundscape of the area where a future portion of a tram line is going to be built. The sound walks aimed to acquire the data useful to carry out a comparison between the ante-opera situation and the post-opera situation, thus predicting the perceived impact of the project. The post-opera simulations were executed through an auralization of the prevalent sounds acquired on the field with the sound recorded during the pass-by of a tram vehicle.

Abstract
The paper presents an experimental campaign carried out through a series of sound walks. Such measurements were performed to characterize the soundscape of the area where a future portion of a tram line is going to be built. The sound walks aimed to acquire the data useful to carry out a comparison between the ante-opera situation and the post-opera situation, thus predicting the perceived impact of the project. The post-opera simulations were executed through an auralization of the prevalent sounds acquired on the field with the sound recorded during the pass-by of a tram vehicle.File in questo prodotto:
