This study investigates the efficient THz light generation from high-refractive index thin surfaces through nonlinear optical processes. We present an innovative strategy for the conversion of infrared signals into terahertz frequencies by exploiting the difference generation of the input beam that is impinging on the dielectric metasurface. The predicted THz efficiency significantly outperforms previous works involving plasmonic nanoresonators. Abstract
Lastly, we propose to use this efficient nonlinear approach for achieving temporal edge detection of the incident beams.File in questo prodotto:
