In this research paper, a MATLAB-based tool is designed to assist users in selecting and dimensioning electric motors for electrification of the powertrain of Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM). The tool leverages a normalized duty cycle, which is then scaled based on the specific application requirements. By plotting the scaled duty cycle on an efficiency map of an electric motor, the evaluation of the suitability of the electric machine is performed for the proposed heavy-duty application and powertrain. The primary purpose of this tool is to streamline the design and realization process of electric powertrains for Non-Road Mobile Machinery.

Abstract
