The proposed work focuses on “Visualizing Cities,” a research project that involves multiple academic institutions and emphasizes its collaborative and open-ended mission, as well as the interdisciplinary interaction and analytical methods offered by various technologies. The project uses Historical GIS cartography, content management system databases, interoperable 3D models (also known as Building Information Modeling or BIM), video and animations, 3D printed models, and mobile web-based applications. The aim is to demonstrate how new technology-supported methods can change and inform our ways of thinking and working. This project showcases how new technologies can transform research and teaching, applying theory and best practices in the field of Digital Humanities to interpret, represent, understand, and promote the knowledge of cities as spaces that evolve over time. The goal is to balance the digital description of heritage for research purposes with its operational management, aligning academic methods with the sustainable preservation of built heritage.

Abstract
The goal is to balance the digital description of heritage for research purposes with its operational management, aligning academic methods with the sustainable preservation of built heritage.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
