Many contemporary metropolitan contexts offer the necessary conditions for reuse of real estate – residential properties, green spaces, infrastructure – which, like raw materials, require targeted changes to be ecologically reconverted and reintroduced into existing economic and social production cycles. The practices of the modification and maintenance of existing building stock are an opportunity to activate latent potentialities present within cities. Project proposals of re-appropriation of obsolete spaces and/or updating of those still inhabited must guarantee a quality that is a result of targeted strategies and aware.
