The paper focuses on the musealisation of archaeological areas inserted into existing architectures, from the point of view of physical and cultural accessibility, also with regards to memory and the relationship with the historical urban context. The hypothesis of musealisation of the Roman thermal site at the Liceo “Arnaldo” in Brescia (currently inaccessible and precluded from use) would allow both its enhancement and an easier and more complete reading of the extension of Roman Brixia, today mainly located in the northern part of the city. In particular, by making the thermal site more usable and manageable, the project aims to redefine its relationship with both the school building and the city.

Abstract
The paper focuses on the musealisation of archaeological areas inserted into existing architectures, from the point of view of physical and cultural accessibility, also with regards to memory and the relationship with the historical urban context. The hypothesis of musealisation of the Roman thermal site at the Liceo “Arnaldo” in Brescia (currently inaccessible and precluded from use) would allow both its enhancement and an easier and more complete reading of the extension of Roman Brixia, today mainly located in the northern part of the city. In particular, by making the thermal site more usable and manageable, the project aims to redefine its relationship with both the school building and the city.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
