Abstract

We report the preliminary results of a study conducted to investigate eye–movement signatures in a sample of people with Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders (SSDs) when reading full sentences carrying a semantic anomaly. Patients data were compared to those obtained from a group of healthy control participants. Despite the results do not allow drawing definitive conclusions, data suggest a specific deficit in the processing of semantic violations on the Thematic Role of Agent.
