Abstract
This report explains the path taken by the 'Università degli studi di Brescia', in partnership with the project 'Valli Resilienti'(Resilient Valleys) presented by two institutions: the 'Comunità Montana' (Mountain Community) of 'Valle Trompia' and of 'Valle Sabbia'. The project was financed by the Cariplo foundation over the years 2017-2019, in the context of the intersectoral programme “AttivAree”. The action that the University of Brescia undertook, is entwined to the expectations of this programme, and consisted in a series of activities, nowadays accomplished, for the set in motion of new attitude changes over the refurbishment and reuse of charectistics buildings in the two Valleys. In “Valle Trompia”, some mountain cottages and farms were located, the former only outside urban contexts, the latter both in urban and non urban settings.uch buildings were (and some are up until today) used for seasonal grazing-related activities, or farming; the majority of them, however, stays abandonded, and, when refurbished for residential use, is object of interventions not suited to its typology. The path here illustrated, shows how to define the most suitable intervention methods and subsequently transfer them to technicians, professionals, public administrations, high- school students that are being formed for construction professions; to owners who must establish how to intervene over heritage buildings still exploitable today. In particular, the reinterpretationof one of the rural complexes object of the apping activity in a hotel/educational key of will be presented.
