The “Torbiere del Sebino” is a natural reserve declared a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention (Ramsar, Iran, 1971). Due to its social-economical history and to the variety of species and habitats it’s considered a priority area for biodiversity in the Po Valley. That’s why we consider this area an optimal training ground in which it is possible to experiment a multisensory approach to sense the atmosphere that “is” the site itself. An educational path about landscape and environment starts from the photographic media and develops into a preconstructed graphic/textual tool. The photographic tool acts as a filter between the individual and the outside world when is required to discriminate and interpret the characteristics of the area; another tool, the dynamic diary, helps the researchers to search for “genius loci”, following a preordinated index. After this preliminary activity, it would be possible to face the design of the microarchitectural structures, useful for enhancing and highlighting the peculiarities of the itineraries of the visit. The final outcome can be considered a “mediated landscape”. The mediation process works through some steps: - the survey and study of the Torbiere landscape with a focus on the outcomes from the 5 senses - the selective attention to the outcomes of a single sense and the consequent project proposals for the enhancement of this site, focused only on one sense.

Abstract
The mediation process works through some steps: - the survey and study of the Torbiere landscape with a focus on the outcomes from the 5 senses - the selective attention to the outcomes of a single sense and the consequent project proposals for the enhancement of this site, focused only on one sense.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
