This paper considers a learning curve where the production/assembly process may go out of control producing defective items that require reworking. This paper revisits the quality learning curve of Jaber and Guiffrida (2008) by assuming the restoration time to follow a learning curve and that the probability of the process going out of control reduces with every restoration activity. Numerical examples are presented with results discussed.

Abstract
This paper considers a learning curve where the production/assembly process may go out of control producing defective items that require reworking. This paper revisits the quality learning curve of Jaber and Guiffrida (2008) by assuming the restoration time to follow a learning curve and that the probability of the process going out of control reduces with every restoration activity. Numerical examples are presented with results discussed.File in questo prodotto:
