Parental sensitivity is the key characteristic of interactions promoting attachment security and is influenced by a large number of personal and contextual factors. The aim of the study is to assess a large set of variables such as the woman’s bonding experience with her parents, the presence of depression symptoms, anxiety or alexithymia, prenatal attachment and perceived social support in order to evaluate possible associations between maternal variables, infant temperament and precursors of attachment in dyadic interaction at three months post partum.
