The boundary lines of the First World War are complex archaeological systems involving usually large parts of the territory with their impressive stage presence, both physical, left by bunkers, trenches and tunnels, forts, military villages, than immaterial, transmitted by the memories and stories of people who lived through those tragic events, custodians of painful collective memories. The proposed study is part of a wider research project, started in 2013, which aims to test hypotheses of valorisation of areas characterized by the presence of ruins and military structures built before and during the Great War, placed in the vicinity of the lines the forehead, between the pass Stelvio and lake Garda. The hypothesis of valorization of the Fort Valledrane does not intend to alter the consistency of the ruin, and arises, instead, as an addition to the existing building in order to a purely conservative intervention. The need to use the fort as a museum in itself, with total security, has guided the choice to assume a series of itineraries that could tell the internal conditions of the building and its relationship with the war context of the surrounding areas.

Abstract
The need to use the fort as a museum in itself, with total security, has guided the choice to assume a series of itineraries that could tell the internal conditions of the building and its relationship with the war context of the surrounding areas.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
