The study of ancient representations of the agricultural landscape underlines the well balanced communication between mankind and natural resources across centuries. We can highlight examples of this relationship in the organization and structure of farms, in the ordered sequences of trees, or in the channels network. Both the analysis and the diachronic description have a key role: they steer the green economy to dialogue with the historic landscape as they identify developments compatible with contemporary needs. Drawing in its various variants is the scientific instrument: it decrypts the complexity of rural settlements, real palimpsests. We therefore propose approaches and graphical languages to understand, discretize and communicate landscape and architecture. The data classification brings to a progressive synthesis that aims at detecting codes of reading and of graphic communication that make understandable the connections between landscape, hydrographic, roads, buildings.
