The chapter, first, describes the most important initiatives for corporate performance management and reporting. Second, it analyzes the current corporate reporting practices by examining the social/CSR/sustainability reports of 16 leading companies from four crucial industries (i.e., four firms from banking, retailing, telecommunications, and utilities) with the help of a stakeholder framework. As a result, even the most up-to-date methodologies and the corporate evaluation and reporting activities turn out to not be fully able to assess the sustainability, that is, the quality, of the corporate relationships with the stakeholder groups as they do not capture the real value created and distributed, in various forms, by the firms to the various constituencies. Therefore, new solutions are needed. In conclusion, an innovative, stakeholder-based and integrated methodology is proposed: SERS2 – the Sustainability Evaluation and Reporting System Revised and Updated.

Abstract
In conclusion, an innovative, stakeholder-based and integrated methodology is proposed: SERS2 – the Sustainability Evaluation and Reporting System Revised and Updated.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
