The paper presents some visual methods of analysis of the rural landscape through its evolution, by using graphical icons. The essay concretized this graphical methods applying them on some rural history cases, combining texts, images, drawings, maps and surveys from both past and present. The goal of the research is to contribute to the debate about the conceptual and expressive potential of the graphical language.
