While the Service Oriented Architecture paradigm is becoming mature and e-Services are being made available on the Web, there is the need for organizing them according to semantic aspects for discovery purposes. In this paper, we propose an ontology-based method to classify e-Services into three different layers according to semantic relationships that can be semi-automatically derived from the e-Service descriptions. The resulting ontology architecture can be exploited to allow the search and discovery of services on the basis of the defined semantic relationships.

Abstract
While the Service Oriented Architecture paradigm is becoming mature and e-Services are being made available on the Web, there is the need for organizing them according to semantic aspects for discovery purposes. In this paper, we propose an ontology-based method to classify e-Services into three different layers according to semantic relationships that can be semi-automatically derived from the e-Service descriptions. The resulting ontology architecture can be exploited to allow the search and discovery of services on the basis of the defined semantic relationships.File in questo prodotto:
