The ability to perform rehabilitation at home has many advantages, both in terms of greater efficiency in the health service and comfort for the patient. The monitoring of human physiological parameters at home has to be non-invasive for the patient. This paper describes a wearable system for monitoring physiological posture during rehabilitation exercises for the spine. The system is able to measure the posture of the subject through a T-shirt instrumented using an inductive sensor. This paper reports the conceptual framework and a description of the first tested device. The preliminary experimental results are reported and compared with results obtained through an optical system that measures the position of markers placed on the back of the patient. In this work, the system is manufactured and tested with a commercial impedance analyzer.
