Structural repair and strengthening certainly represents a major requirement for the next future, since many building have been in service for more than 50 years, which is considered the normal service life. Furthermore, recent earthquakes underlined the need of structural safety of building designed when the seismic loads were not considered by most building codes. In this context, newer cementitious material having a higher performance can be fruitfully adopted for structural rehabilitation. This paper presents some results on strengthening of masonry shear walls with a thin layer of high performance fibre reinforced mortar.

Abstract
Structural repair and strengthening certainly represents a major requirement for the next future, since many building have been in service for more than 50 years, which is considered the normal service life. Furthermore, recent earthquakes underlined the need of structural safety of building designed when the seismic loads were not considered by most building codes. In this context, newer cementitious material having a higher performance can be fruitfully adopted for structural rehabilitation. This paper presents some results on strengthening of masonry shear walls with a thin layer of high performance fibre reinforced mortar.File in questo prodotto:
