The authors carried out a study to select, from the ergonomic point of view, the best handling solution (manual or assisted by industrial manipulator) in short-distance transfers of moderate load objects. The study was conducted according to a decision making methodology performing a multicriteria analysis based on the use of AHP. The hierarchy of evaluation criteria was previously developed by the authors, and detailed and extended in this paper.
